Consultative Approach
In assessing any search assignment which we take on, our approach to the role is very consultative and essentially two fold. Firstly, if we present a candidate for a position, do we genuinely believe that he/she is the right fit and would we recruit the candidate ourselves if we were the hiring manager? Secondly, in consultation with the candidate, do we genuinely believe that this opportunity is the right next step for his/her career? If the answer to both of the questions is positive, we will start the process of bringing both client and candidate together.

Retained Search

By the very nature of the search, this is a process whereby a client can retain the services of Abercorn International to do a thorough search for a particular role across Asia Pacific. 

The fee structure for this activity includes a retainer fee, a fee on shortlist and a final fee due on successful completion of the assignment.

    Abercorn will meet with the client and agree on a specific action plan for a major assignment they retain out services. We will identify prospective candidates using our extensive network of IT industry contacts across Asia Pacific. Confidentially, we will then make a discreet approach to identified candidates to determine their interest in, and qualifications for, a particular position. A shortlist of suitable candidates will then be presented to the client and we work closely with both parties to ensure than the desired end result is achieved.

Contingency Search

In a contingency search, a client may brief more than one search partner to fill a particular role. 

The firm is paid only if and when they provide a candidate who fills a position. 

In this instance, we recommend to clients that they should use no more than two preferred search agencies as there are issues surrounding confidentiality and the company's image in the marketplace.
